How do you think that Big Yellow encourages ethnic diversity in the workplace?

Since joining Big Yellow, I have been fortunate enough to be a part of the Company Diversity Working Party. I feel Big Yellow does and will make any changes it deems necessary to encourage a diverse and fair working environment.

What has been your career path to date?

Prior to Big Yellow I managed a gym and have worked in retail in various roles from Sales Advisor to Store Manager. I was recommended to Big Yellow by another colleague from a BAME background who told me that it is a great place to work. Her experience has been great, as has mine!

How does Big Yellow promote a working environment where you can speak up and be heard?

I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the Company reacted after I raised concerns following the Black Lives Matter events this year. It has solidified my view that you can raise issues at Big Yellow.

How do you think that Big Yellow ensures fair treatment and encourages the inclusivity of all employees?

I love the work that Big Yellow has done with encouraging more women in management positions, its charity work and now its work with ethnic minorities. This is a clear sign to me that Big Yellow is looking to balance the playing field for all.
