I joined Big Yellow in 2007 as a Store Manager. In that role, I focused on identifying, onboarding, and developing new talent. My belief is that successful recruitment hinges on an open-minded approach—one that emphasises an individual’s values, work ethic, and attitude over their previous experiences.
As a Talent Manager, my primary goal is to ensure that hiring managers adopt this mindset. By doing so, we can find candidates who are seeking a long-term career while providing them with the best possible experience throughout the hiring process.
Before joining Big Yellow, I gained recruitment experience across various industries, including construction, services, and retail. This diverse background has made me an effective recruiter, allowing me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of both candidates and organisations.

I joined Big Yellow in 2020 as a Sales Advisor, and spent 18 months working across two stores, before moving to our head office as a Talent Advisor. Working in stores shaped my understanding of the responsibilities of the various roles and has given me an opportunity to meet many individuals in the business. This has shown me the diverse talent we recruit and encouraged an open-minded approach to recruitment in my current role.
As a Talent Advisor, I support our hiring managers to remain openminded during the recruitment process, encouraging them to look beyond a CV to consider the person behind the paper. Together, we continue to successfully recruit candidates that contribute to the business but also support their personal and professional development.
Before joining Big Yellow, I gained extensive experience in customer service from a variety of roles in retail and hospitality. This exposure to different industries helps me to identify candidates’ transferable skills and support our hiring managers in recognising them as well.
