Started Januay 2017 as store manager, entered current role in 2023.
What has been your career path to date?
Started in 2017 in Portsmouth as store manager, I have been in 4 stores since starting and in 2023 I was promoted to ASM.
What has been your greatest career achievement to date?
My biggest achievement is being selected to train directors, regionals and new area managers into the company. This is a massive honour to have been selected to train some of our leaders in the company.
What’s most important to you in your career and why?
The most important thing to me in my career is knowing that there is a progression upwards. This drives me in everything I do to be able to work towards my next role.
What is it that makes Big Yellow/Armadillo a great place to work?
Every day is different. I love the challenge of customer selling, problem solving and store tasks is the best part of my day.
How do you manage a positive work life/balance?
I like to use my downtime with things that allow me to feel relaxed. This will normally be a calm activity such as reading, pamper sessions or watching a film. Sometimes a quiet 10 minutes does me the world of good.
How are you supported in achieving a good work/life balance?
Big Yellow have a wide range or support mechanisms, health care, wellbeing groups, mentorships with other big yellow team members and may more other elements so being supported is never far away.
